Welcome
Welcome
from our Head of School
At the heart of our provision is our mantra ‘love, learn, discover’. All our children are encouraged to try their best; take responsibility for their own actions; have a go at everything and aim to succeed. We are committed to developing our children academically, physically, emotionally and socially, giving them the very best experiences of learning.
I hope that you find this information useful, but it can only give you a glimpse of our work. I am always happy to meet and speak with parents and carers personally and guarantee that a warm welcome will always await you!
Welcome
from our School Council
Our School Council plays a really important role in our school. They make suggestions and decisions about how to improve our school, lead campaigns that are special to our school community, host assemblies and welcome visitors - they have even met with the local Member of Parliament and asked him lots of challenging questions!
Pupils from each class from Year 2 to Year 6 are democratically elected by their peers and are a voice for their class in sharing their ideas and opinions. They enjoy their roles and always have a lot to say!
Welcome
from our Eco Council
At Lewis Street, we are keen to protect the environment and to make our school greener, cleaner and kinder to our planet! We enjoy learning about environmental issues in our classrooms and are excited to use our knowledge to make our school more environmentally friendly. By working as a team of enthusiastic staff, pupils and community volunteers, the Eco Council want to make a positive change in our community and build a future for the world beyond!
“I wanted to be an Eco Councillor because it is fun. I also wanted to be an Eco Councillor to help nature and save the world. I would also like to be a role model for little kids and everybody!” Aymen - Eco Councillor

Year 6 Pupil
The main thing that makes our school really special is the teachers. They all really care about us! -
Year 5 Pupil
It's the opportunities we are given and the trips we get to go on that I love. -
Year 1 Pupil
I like playing with my friends! -
Year 2 Pupil
English is my favourite lesson because we get to read lots and lots of new stories. Sometimes the stories have magic or talking animals, and we do drama and pretended to be the characters! It makes me really happy when we sit on the carpet to find out how the story ends.
